For months now Rey and Dominik Mysterio have been feuding with The Judgement Day, and Edge returned at SummerSlam to even the odds. The Judgement Day has also been trying to recruit Dominik Mysterio for some time, and there seemed to be some tension between Rey and his son after Rey agreed to team up with Edge to face Damian Priest and Finn Balor at Clash at the Castle.
The match featured a lot of back and forth action, and at one point Rhea Ripley attacked Dominik Mysterio on the outside. The end of the match came when Rey Mysterio hit Finn Balor with the 619 then Edge followed up with a spear to get the victory.
After the match Edge and Rey celebrated in the ring as Dominik approached them. Edge looked happy as he tried to get Dominik to celebrate with them, but Dominik responded by hitting Edge with a low blow. As Rey tried to talk sense into Dominik his own son attacked him and hit him with a clothesline as the fans booed.
The Judgement Day looked on then laughed and cheered as Dominik ripped off his Mysterios shirt and made his way to the back while the crowd booed him heavily. After the dust settled Rey seemingly apologized to Edge and Edge hugged him to end the segment.
