The AEW Double or Nothing pay-per-view aired live on Sunday night from Daily’s Place, and the show kicked off with Adam Page vs. Brian Cage.
Ahead of the match it was made clear by the commentators that Brian Cage wanted to do the match “on his own” without the help of his Team Taz members.
Page and Cage faced off in a hard fought match, but it was Adam Page who got the victory. Near the end of the match Ricky Starks slid the FTW Championship in the ring towards Brian Cage, and Cage grabbed the belt then threw it back to Starks. As Brian Cage was distracted over the belt situation, Adam Page hit the Buckshot Lariat to pick up the win.
After the match Ricky Starks and Hook looked on at Brian Cage with disappointment, as Adam Page cracked a beer to celebrate. Taz on commentary noted that he was confused as to why Cage would turn down help from his teammates.
Starks and Hook then confronted Cage in the ring as he stormed off looking frustrated.
