Back in July Big E managed to win the Money in the Bank ladder match and he secured himself a shot at a major title. A few weeks ago Big E decided to cash in on Bobby Lashley after Lashley successfully defended the WWE Championship against Randy Orton on Raw, and Big E defeated Lashley to win the title for the first time in his career.
There’s a lot of responsibility that comes with being the WWE Champion, but it seems that Big E is taking his opportunity seriously at the moment. During an appearance on Cincy 360 the current WWE Champion noted that he feels the quality and viewership for Raw now fall on him.
“In my mind, RAW is my show. That WWE Championship means that RAW is my show. I’m the king of the hill there. Right now, I’ve been kind of going back and forth with SmackDown a little bit, but I anticipate that will be over soon.
I want to focus on making RAW this best show it can be, and I take pride in that. A lot of times the viewership, the quality of the show is on the WWE Champion. That’s a big marker for having a really good reign.”
