In recent weeks some of AEW’s most talented wrestlers have been competing in the Owen Hart Cup Tournament. The finals are set to take place during Saturday’s episode of AEW Collision and it looks like a big name is being brought in for the show.
Jushin Thunder Liger recently took to Twitter to revealed that he’s making his way to Canada as he’s been invited to appear on Collision as part of the Owen Hart Cup Tournament. The Hall of Famer confirmed he will be making his AEW debut on Saturday when he posted the following on Twitter:
“I am at Haneda Airport now. From now on, I will go to Calgary, Canada via San Francisco. I was invited as a guest at Owen Hart’s memorial tournament ☆ I’m looking forward to Calgary after a long time”

Tony Khan talked about the possibility of Jushin Liger working with AEW during the Double or Nothing post-show media scrum back in May, and he noted that he hoped to bring him in for the Owen Hart Cup Tournament because he’s someone that has faced off against Owen Hart in the ring.
“He’s competed against Owen Hart and competed in Canada and competed in Stampede Wrestling. That would be something really neat. To coincide with AEW in Canada and Forbidden Door door and our partnership with New Japan, and most importantly the Owen Hart Cup tournament, I think it would be great if Jushin Thunder Liger can come over. I’m optimistic that he’ll be able to.”
Stay tuned for more updates on AEW Collision as they become available.
