When WWE relaunched the cruiserweight division in 2016, the cruiserweights regularly appeared on Monday Night Raw.
Eventually the cruiserweights became part of their own brand when 205 Live was created, but they still appeared on Raw every week.
However, fans might have noticed that the cruiserweights haven’t been appearing on Raw as of late, and it looks like their run with the red brand may be done.
A fan recently asked Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer why the cruiserweights haven’t been appearing on Raw, and he noted that they are still on Raw live events, but no longer appearing on Raw itself.
PWInsider notes that Jeff Hardy defended his United States Championship against Shelton Benjamin in a dark match before SmackDown Live on Tuesday night. Hardy won the match after he hit the Swanton Bomb and pinned Benjamin.
Carmella also defended her SmackDown Women’s Championship against Charlotte Flair after 205 Live. The Princess of Staten Island pinned Charlotte with her feet on the ropes to win the match.
After Carmella picked up the victory, Charlotte destroyed her to send the fans home happy.
