It’s been a busy summer for the stars of WWE as the company’s schedule has been loaded with big events. Next month WWE will bring the first ever two night SummerSlam to MetLife Stadium, and it sounds like the card is set to feature the in-ring debut of a familiar celebrity.
PWInsider is reporting that Jelly Roll has been training for his in-ring debut which is currently planned for SummerSlam. Jelly Roll is set to kick off the storyline when he appears on SmackDown this week, and he is reportedly set to form an alliance with a top babyface. The babyface has not been confirmed, but the word is that it’s not Cody Rhodes.
Jelly Roll is known to be a big WWE fan and he appeared at SummerSlam last year. The singer went viral during the show as he got physical when he hit Austin Theory with a chokeslam.
WWE SummerSlam will air live from MetLife Stadium on Saturday, August 2nd and Sunday, August 3rd. The current card can be seen below.
