Sunday night at WWE SummerSlam, Big Cass faced off against Big Show, and he annihilated his former tag team partner Enzo Amore. It seemed that Big Cass was set for big things, but unfortunately the WWE Raw Superstar’s momentum was halted on Monday night.

Big Cass faced off against Enzo Amore in a Brooklyn Street Fight Monday night on Raw, and it looked like he was finally going to wrap up his feud with the Smacktalker Skywalker. Unfortunately for Cass, he landed wrong when he went over the top rope, and he suffered and injury. The match was called off due to injury, and Enzo was declared the winner.
WWE confirmed Cass was injured during Raw, and now it’s been confirmed that the seven footer will be undergoing surgery to repair the injury.
WWE.com reports that Big Cass is set to undergo surgery this week, and he’s expected to take nine months to recover from the injury.
“It looks like he has an ACL tear, possibly a medial meniscus tear, but we’re going to wait for the radiologist to evaluate the MRI and give us their full report,” WWE ringside physician Dr. Chris Robinson said.” A typical ACL tear takes about nine months [to recover from],” Robinson added.
