Big Cass was originally set to take on Samoa Joe in a Money in the Bank qualifying match this week on SmackDown Live, but that won’t be happening. Cass recently sold an injury during a WWE live event in Munich, and after he was helped to the back WWE posted a tweet teasing that he might not make it to his Money in the Bank qualifying match.
Now General Manager Paige has confirmed that Big Cass will not be competing on SmackDown Live, and instead Jeff Hardy will face Daniel Bryan, with the winner of that match going on to face Samoa Joe in a qualifying match next week.
Speaking of Money in the Bank qualifying matches, Billie Kay is set to face Lana this week on SmackDown Live to determine who will go on the women’s match, and Kay recently hyped up their encounter by saying she’s going to crush Lana.
