Enzo Amore might be the realest guy in the room but he found himself with a ton of backstage heat. There have been reports of Enzo’s backstage behavior and how it might be costing him in more ways than one.
Before Big Cass made their breakup official he really tore into Amore saying how he always had to have Enzo’s back. Then he kicked his head off.
Big Cass might be waiting a while for his knee to recover from a recent injury but he obviously has big plans once he returns. He might not be dealing with his old buddy when he does come back but Cass recently opened up on the Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast about his old buddy and whether he’s distanced himself from Enzo backstage (H/T to IWNerd for the transcription).
“Enzo is Enzo, the guy you see on TV is the guy that you see in real life. Enzo wouldn’t be in the spot he’s in, he wouldn’t have made it this far if he didn’t act the way he does, so there is good with the bad. No, I don’t think so, I don’t think I have distanced myself from him. The storyline has kind of taken on its own thing. Once it started being talked about and people started talking about it on the internet, then they are like: ‘oh really, people talk about it? Well okay, if it’s not real, lets pretend it is real and put it more out there on TV.”
Whether Enzo’s backstage heat is real or part of the show, it doesn’t appear that he’ll be put back together with Big Cass again anytime soon. The two seem to have different paths in WWE now as Enzo attacks 205 Live and Big Cass attacks rehabbing his knee injury.
But no matter how it ends up going down between the two, Big Cass sounds like he’s not about to totally throw his old friend under to bus just yet.
