Big Cass Comments On “Horrible Mistake” He Made During His WWE Run

At one point Big Cass and Enzo Amore were one of the most popular tag teams on the WWE roster, and when WWE made the decision to split them up the company tried to push Cass as a monster heel.

While he was feuding with Daniel Bryan the former WWE star hit a little person dressed as Bryan with a big boot during a SmackDown segment, but then he went off script and started punching the little person.

Big Cass, now known as W. Morrissey, recently appeared on The Sessions with Renee Paquette and opened up about what he now calls a “horrible mistake.”

“That was such a horrible mistake. Looking back on it now with a sober mind, it’s like, ‘What were you thinking in that moment?’ What happened was I was supposed to get mega heat, huge mega heat, with this segment… When I first did what I did, I looked in the crowd and people were just laughing. I was like, ‘That’s definitely not the response we were looking for here.’”

While reflecting on his WWE release the former Big Cass noted that he became a different person toward the end of his run with the company, and he was trying to make a name for himself.

“I just became a very different person. I definitely was trying to make a name for myself. That mistake alone was just me thinking, ‘This is the right thing to do for what we’re trying to accomplish.’ Looking back now, no… you get paid to do a f***ing job. You get paid a lot of money to do a job. Do what you’re told or at least try to come to some sort of compromise.”
