Last year Becky Lynch made her surprise return at the SummerSlam pay-per-view, and she immediately challenged SmackDown Women’s Champion Bianca Belair to a title match. Lynch squashed the champion in 26 seconds and she managed to win the title in her big return match.
Following the pay-per-view there was a lot of talk about Bianca Belair taking such a quick loss to Becky Lynch, but Belair recently revealed to talkSPORT that John Cena gave her some encouraging advice after the match.
“I really got to talk with John Cena a lot after the 26 seconds moment at SummerSlam. He really just gave me a lot of great advice and keep the right perspective of everything.”
“Basically, the gist of what he said was ‘moments like this you can really use to propel you. You see how much the fans really get behind you.’ For me, out of that, I was able to look at the longer picture, the bigger picture, and hopefully, one day, it’ll come back full circle; who knows.”
Bianca Belair will get a chance to earn a shot at the Raw Women’s Championship when she competes inside the Elimination Chamber on Saturday, February 19th. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
