Becky Lynch Reveals Advice Shawn Michaels Gave To Her

Becky Lynch is the current SmackDown Women’s Champion, but it’s been a long road to the top for the SmackDown Live Superstar.

Lynch had been overlooked for years on the main roster, but recently she’s seized the reigns after going through a character change, and the fans have responded in a big way.

Becky has fought for her success, and she recently revealed to TV Insider that she received some important advice from WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels while she was away from WWE filming “The Marine 6: Close Quarters.”

“Things weren’t going as well as they are now before I left to shoot,” Lynch said. “I remember him giving me advice saying, ‘When you go back, go in as a different person. Hold your head a little bit higher. Have that attitude that you’re a top star. Go with it. I think this is what I’ve been trying to do since I came back.”

Shawn Michaels isn’t the only WWE Hall of Famer who has helped Becky along the way, as she also noted that Steve Austin and Mick Foley have been supportive of her career.

“Steve has been very supportive and generous with his time,” Lynch said. “He talks to me and gives me matches to watch. That has been wonderful.”

“Then I was with Mick Foley recently and talking to him. He is one of the reasons I’m here today. He was someone who helped bring me back into wrestling. I’ve been very lucky for the support I’ve gotten from people who have been here before and done wonderful things in the business.”
