Tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown Live is set to take place from the Verizon Center in Washington, DC, and the WWE Championship will be on the line.
After suffering a minor ankle injury last week during TLC, WWE is advertising that AJ Styles will return to action tonight, and he will defend his WWE Championship against James Ellsworth. Comedian Gabriel Iglesias will also be making an appearance on tonight’s show.
WWE has also announced that Heath Slater & Rhyno, American Alpha, The Hype Bros, Breezango, The Vaudevillains, The Ascension and The Usos will be competing in a battle royal to determine the new number 1 contenders for the Tag Team Titles.
Superstars being advertised for tonight’s show include Dean Ambrose, Randy Orton, Bray Wyatt, Becky Lynch, Kane and more.
