The big news story last week was Roman Reigns’ 30 day suspension. WWE suspended Roman after he violated the wellness policy for the first time, but it looks like Reigns will still be competing in the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match at Battleground next month.
WWE Hall of Famer Steve Austin recently appeared on ESPN’s Russilo & Kanell show and he gave his thoughts on the suspension. Austin said that he doesn’t know what Reigns got popped for, but he noted that WWE is strict about drug testing and they were testing when he was at Raw last week.
Austin said that he thinks Reigns did the right thing by owning up to his mistake.
“He got popped, and that’s just the way it is. He owned it, and he’ll live to come back another day. He owned it, so I think the kid did the right thing. Sometimes these things happen.”
Roderick Strong finished up with Ring of Honor this weekend after many years with the company. Strong commented on his departure last week saying that it was time for him to see what’s next.
Former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Batista commented on Strong’s departure with some words of encouragement and you can see what he had to say below.
