Sunday night at the Money in the Bank pay-per-view, Shinsuke Nakamura, AJ Styles, Dolph Ziggler, Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn and Baron Corbin all fought to earn a guaranteed title shot, and in the end it was Baron Corbin who walked out with the briefcase.

It’s been rumored for a while now that WWE officials are interested in giving Corbin a big push, as they seem him as a potential top star. Most stars who hold the Money in the Bank briefcase go on to win a major title, and during a recent interview with ESPN, Baron Corbin said he has no doubt he will become champion.

“History shows that anybody who gets their hands on the briefcase becomes WWE champion, and so I have no doubts in my mind that that’s next for me. That’s the next step in my career, and this briefcase is going to help achieve that, and nobody’s going to take that away from me.”

Although Baron Corbin can cash in his title shot at any time, he also noted that he’s going to be calculated and wait for the right opportunity.

“I’m going to be calculated,” Corbin said. “I’m pretty good with being calculated in what I do, when I’m going to make my mark on somebody. Unfortunately for him, Shinsuke felt that tonight. I saw an opportunity and took it. I’ll watch very closely and I’ll take my chance and I’ll walk away successful.”
