Baron Corbin received a pretty decent push in 2019, and he’s currently working as one of the top stars on Friday Night SmackDown.

Corbin has used his End of Days finisher to put away his fair share of opponents, and hr recently told Sportskeeda that he makes it a point to protect the move.

“I 100% do and you know I had a conversation with Taker about that. He really made the Tombstone something very special. Nobody kicked out of it for a long time and he held it very sacred. So that was something I took to heart and something I wanted to do with it. Because yeah nobody’s ever kicked out of End of Days. When it lands it’s over and people know that.”

The former United States Champion also explained the origins of the move.

“At NXT we have like a crash pad ring where you can go in and just try stuff in. I was just messing around with somebody and they jumped and I caught him and kind of hit it… just playing around. As soon as we landed I was like, ‘Oh man… that was something cool.’ When it happened, you immediately knew.”

King Corbin went on to explain that he was so excited about the move that he sent a video to WWE Hall of Famer Billy Gunn. According to Corbin, Gunn jokingly threatened to steal his move and use it on The Shield at WrestleMania 30.

Corbin noted that Gunn teased him for two weeks about stealing the move, and that it would have led to a fight between him and Gunn if he had.
