On Saturday night the stars of All Elite Wrestling took center stage at the Sears Centre, and Chris Jericho faced Adam Page in the first ever AEW World Championship match.
When it was all said and done Jericho put Page away with the Judas Effect to become the first AEW World Champion.
The finish gave fans plenty to talk about, and Baron Corbin commented on an Instagram post pointing out how the first AEW World Champ will be 49 years old in November.
Corbin responded to the post with the following:
“All of these smarks have hated everything we do and complained about every detail that now they are forced to love everything these guys do even when it shows dumb they really are.”
The comment has since been deleted but a screenshot can be seen below.
