This week’s episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown aired live from the KeyBank Center in Buffalo, New York and Randy Orton made a surprise appearance during the show.
Randy Orton made his way down to the ring and called out Kevin Owens who was stopped by WWE officials as he walked out. Orton was enraged as he tried to call Owens to the ring, but Owens hesitated then walked away before turning around and running to the ring.
Kevin Owens and Randy Orton brawled for a moment while WWE officials attempted to hold them back. Eventually Owens got his hands on Randy Orton then hit him with a piledriver. The move destroyed Randy Orton as he was barely able to move after. Michael Cole pointed out that the piledriver is banned in WWE, and said that it’s banned for a reason.
Cody Rhodes came out to check on Orton as he was being placed on a stretcher. The American Nightmare walked alongside the stretcher while Orton was taken to an ambulance backstage. The Viper sold a potential major injury by twitching his hand. Cody got in the stretcher which then drove away as the show went to commercial.
