All In was an experiment that went incredibly well. Even if they don’t sell every ticket on the secondary market, Cody Rhodes and The Young Bucks won their $1 bet with Dave Meltzer and he even said as Wrestling Observer Radio kicked off that he would give them that dollar in the ring during the event.
But as the pro wrestling world was lit on fire with the news of All In’s incredible sell-out in less than thirty minutes it looks like the ripples of this major event might not be felt backstage in WWE after all.
Of course, a response from WWE really wasn’t their intention but they wanted to display some elite pro wrestling instead. However, it looks like the hot subjects backstage in WWE remain to be pretty much the same because it’s business as usual.
Brad Shepard of BodySlam.net reports there isn’t any talk about the All In event’s sell-out backstage in WWE. His source tells him that the current favorite subject of conversation is still The Greatest Royal Rumble along with WWE’s European tour and WWE’s rising stock prices.
The general opinion with some backstage is The Bullet Club sells a ton of t-shirts but they’re often the butt of jokes because it is often thought that even though they might be pulling in the merch money they’re still wrestling in front of very small audiences.
The Young Bucks and Cody Rhodes will obviously be wrestling in front of a much larger crowd at All In. 10,000 fans will pack the Sears Centre on September 1st whether WWE notices or not. But the bottom line is they’re sure to create a buzz in the pro wrestling world and WWE might eventually have no other choice but to notice them.
Let’s just hope the Young Bucks and Cody Rhodes can figure out a way to stream All In online so way more than 10,000 people can enjoy this groundbreaking event.
