Earlier this year SmackDown moved from FOX to USA Network, which is the current home of WWE Monday Night Raw, and Raw’s third hour got nixed. Since then Monday Night Raw has been a two hour show, but it’s been reported that WWE will be adding a third hour to Friday Night SmackDown when Raw moves to Netflix.
It was noted during the latest episode of WrestleVotes Radio on Backstage Pass that it’s not a guarantee WWE will be turning SmackDown into a three hour show the same week Raw premieres on Netflix.
The plan is still for SmackDown to make the shift to three hours in January of 2025. At this point it hasn’t been determined if the change will take place the same week that Raw makes the jump to Netflix, or if it will happen later in the month.
