Vince McMahon is the talk of the wrestling world right now following a report that the Wall Street Journal published noting that the WWE board is investigating a $3 million dollar settlement linked to a former employee he allegedly had an affair with. Despite the allegations it seems that Vince McMahon intends to carry on.
PWInsider reports that there are currently no planned changes to the production of this week’s Friday Night SmackDown taping. Staff that are set to work the tapings have been told that Vince McMahon will be present and it will be business as usual.
Dave Meltzer also confirmed on Wrestling Observer Radio that plans call for Vince McMahon and John Laurinaitis is expected to be at the SmackDown tapings on Friday as well. He also noted that there are people in the company who believe Vince will survive this.
This week’s episode of SmackDown will continue the build for Money in the Bank, and Roman Reigns is set to defend his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Riddle on the show. If Riddle fails to defeat Roman Reigns he will no longer be able to challenge for the title while The Tribal Chief is champion.
