AJ Styles is the current WWE Champion, and he’s got everyone talking about his status at the moment. Friday night AJ Styles was scheduled to work a tag team match at the WWE live event at Madison Square Garden, but Styles worked an angle instead, and it was speculated that he may be dealing with some kind of injury.
Talk of AJ Styles being injured started to heat up over the weekend after Styles didn’t work live events on Saturday or Sunday.
PWInsider is reporting that AJ Styles is dealing with an injury, but the exact details regarding the injury are unknown at this point in time. The WWE Champion is backstage at Raw in Dallas, Texas, and he’s scheduled to be examined by WWE medical staff.
As of right now Styles is still scheduled to defend the WWE Championship against Shinsuke Nakamura at WrestleMania 34, so hopefully he will still be able to compete and he was only pulled from the live events as a precaution.
Stay tuned for more updates on AJ’s status as they become available.
