Finn Balor and Bayley’s positions on the NXT roster have reportedly been a talking point within WWE recently according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. Balor and Bayley have both said in interviews that they’re happy in NXT.
There’s reportedly concern for 34 year old Finn Balor’s health as NXT has plans to do more touring in 2016. NXT was supposed to get Balor ready for the main roster but officials are worried that Balor’s body could get worn out before he ever gets the chance to get called up and make big money. Finn Balor is being booked as the main attraction for NXT going into the new year.
As far as Bayley goes, there’s hope that she could become the “female John Cena” in the sense that she could do charity work and draw in younger female fans. However there is some concern that her organic connection with the fans won’t carry over to the main roster. WWE officials feel she will either be a huge success or that her gimmick won’t work when she gets called up.
