This year WrestleMania 40 will take place from Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, PA and it will be the first WrestleMania to not have Vince McMahon involved in some form.
Fightful Select reports that one top talent noted that there is an “aura of excitement” regarding how things felt this week. It was also noted that the cloud of Vince returning to “f**k up everyone’s good time” isn’t there anymore.
It’s being reported that Vince McMahon has zero influence over WrestleMania this year and numerous higher ups in the company believe that there is no incentive to further any type of creative agenda Vince McMahon has. Vince is not expected to pop up at WrestleMania 40 this weekend. Several sources also said that sometimes his appearances in the past have not been wanted.
Raw after WrestleMania is also said to be a point of excitement for people in WWE. Numerous people stated that the show hasn’t felt like an event in years, but now it’s possible that it could be the type of show that fans remember. Vince McMahon showed up to Raw after WrestleMania last year and made big changes to the show. Numerous talent and agents noted that they believe the original plans for Raw after WrestleMania were much better before Vince McMahon interfered.
