This week’s episode of AEW Dynamite was the special Holiday Bash edition of the show and AEW Women’s Champion Jamie Hayter successfully defended her title against Hikaru Shida in the main event.
Fightful Select notes that Will Washington revealed that ROH veteran BJ Whitmer produced the match. Whitmer also produced the Toni Storm vs. Jamie Hayter match that took place at the Full Gear pay-per-view last month.
It’s being said that there was a unanimous positive response backstage not just to the AEW Dynamite main event this week, but toward Jamie Hayter’s AEW Women’s Championship reign in general. Britt Baker and Rebel have also been receiving a lot of praise for working with Hayter as they’ve seamlessly transitioned into the roles they’re currently in.
