Backstage Reaction To Kevin Dunn’s WWE Departure

There’s a lot of movement in the world of professional wrestling right now and it was recently reported by PWInsider that Kevin Dunn is parting ways with WWE as he recently gave his notice to the company. The report noted that Dunn didn’t want to alter his production style and there were said to be two different visions on how WWE TV should be run.

Fightful Select reports that they spoke to several shocked talent who had no idea about Kevin Dunn’s departure. It’s being said that several people have trained in aspects of Kevin Dunn’s role with WWE, and some in the company think that his role will likely be divided.

At one point Mike Mansury was considered to be the successor for Kevin Dunn’s role, but Mansury is now with All Elite Wrestling. Kevin Dunn’s say had decreased over the last year and the belief is that anyone taking on his role will not have the amount of power that Dunn once had.

Kevin Dunn has reportedly missed more shows than usual as of late. Some people in WWE believe that the older guard will be scaled back in the months to come, and that Kevin Dunn was one of the major chips to fall.
