NXT has been going through some major changes ever since the brand was relaunched as NXT 2.0, and Bron Breakker has been at the forefront of the brand for months now.
The up and comer has been chasing the NXT Championship for some time, and on Tuesday night he defeated Tommaso Ciampa to win the NXT Title at New Year’s Evil. Breakker’s victory caught the attention of the wrestling world, but what he did before the match also got a lot of people talking.
As he was making his way out to the ring Bron Breakker encountered a big gold “X” and he smashed through the logo as he was making his entrance.
Fightful Select reports that Bron Breakker being scripted to smash through the “X” was not well received backstage. It was also noted that the symbolic gesture was seen as WWE sending a message.
