This week’s episode of NXT aired live from St. Louis, MO and it featured a big appearance from Randy Orton. The Viper faced off against Je’Von Evans in the main event and in the end it was Randy Orton who picked up the win.
Near the end of the match Je’Von Evans jumped off the top rope into a corkscrew move that looked like it was supposed to go into the RKO. However, the timing wasn’t quite right as Evans hit the mat without taking the RKO. Orton then picked him up and delivered the RKO to end the match.
Fightful Select reports that Randy Orton and Je’Von Evans rehearsed their spot extensively prior to this week’s episode of NXT. According to the report there is no heat on Je’Von Evans for missing the RKO.
After the match was over Randy Orton helped Je’Von Evans up then showed him respect as he raised his arm in the air while the fans at The Factory cheered.
