The AEW Revolution pay-per-view aired live on Sunday night and Kenny Omega defended the AEW World Championship against Jon Moxley in an Exploding Barbed Wire Deathmatch.
The end of of the pay-per-view saw Kenny Omega and The Good Brothers handcuff Jon Moxley and leave him in the ring, which was set to explode. Eddie Kingston made his way out to the ring and he covered Moxley, but the explosion was a dud.
It was noted on Wrestling Observer Live that AEW tested the explosion ahead of time, and it worked. It just so happened that the explosive that was used for the pay-per-view was a dud.
Kenny Omega was said to have been furious with how the finish came off.
