Bad Bunny made his big in-ring debut with WWE a few years ago at WrestleMania 37 when he teamed with Damian Priest to defeat the team of The Miz & John Morrison on the Grandest Stage of Them All.
In recent weeks Bad Bunny’s friendship with Damian Priest has fallen apart and they’ve become bitter rivals. The two stars faced off in a street fight at Backlash in Puerto Rico on Saturday night and it was Bad Bunny who picked up the win.
It seems that Bad Bunny’s first singles bout was very well received as Fightful Select reports that WWE was extremely happy with how Bad Bunny’s match with Damian Priest went.
The crowd was electric for Bad Bunny’s match which also featured several cameos as Finn Balor and Dominik Mysterio interfered which prompted Carlito, Savio Vega, Rey Mysterio, and the LWO to come in and make the save. After the match the faces celebrated with Bad Bunny.
At this point in time it’s not clear when Bad Bunny could return to WWE programming, but it was recently reported that the company is hoping to get him for SummerSlam. Sound off in the comments below.
