Backstage News On WWE Possibly Splitting Up The Dudley Boyz, Bubba Ray Getting A Singles Run

The Dudley Boyz have been a welcome addition to the WWE roster since returning to WWE in 2015. But according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter an idea was recently pitched to split up the iconic team. The idea would be to have the team split up and have Bubba Ray work as a singles wrestler similar to his Bully Ray gimmick in TNA. However it was also noted that this was simply an idea that was pitched which doesn’t necessarily mean it’s going to happen.

For those of you that aren’t familiar with the Bully Ray, it was a heel persona that Bubba Ray Dudley portrayed in TNA and it catapulted him to the main event scene. He worked as the leader of the Aces & Eights and also became TNA World Champion. He was the main heel in the company for several months before dropping the title to AJ Styles at Bound For Glory in 2013.
