It appears that Neville is no longer the King of the Cruiserweights, as he recently dropped the Cruiserweight Title, and he also walked out on WWE.
Sports Illustrated is reporting that Neville was said to be unhappy with the direction of his character and the lack of pay offs. In addition to the creative direction he was also reportedly unhappy with the WWE schedule and he walked out after being presented with the idea of losing to Enzo Amore on Raw. People in WWE were surprised that his exit didn’t come sooner as he was said to have been miserable since January.
Obviously walking out is highly frowned upon in WWE, and Neville’s actions angered Vince McMahon. The former WWE Cruiserweight Champion has aspirations of making a name for himself on the independent circuit, but Vince McMahon is the one in control of his future at the moment and it remains to be seen whether WWE will allow him to walk away, or make him wait until his deal officially expires.
Neville was also reportedly upset about the fact that his match with Austin Aries was left off the WrestleMania 33 DVD, and felt that he was viewed as a “get over guy” that’s used to enhance other talents on the roster.
