The Undertaker is set to face off against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 33, and it’s safe to say that their match is one of the most anticipated matches on the card. Everyone’s wondering how things are going to play out, and according to Roman Reigns, he’s going to retire The Undertaker.
Taker turned 52 this week, and it’s no big secret that his in-ring career is winding down. He’s been limiting how many matches he wrestles for several years now, and there’s a lot of talk that his match with Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 33 could possibly be his last match.
It was reported following the Royal Rumble that The Undertaker is dealing with hip issues, but he’s been putting off surgery until after he retires. Undertaker was said to have been in a lot of pain after the 2017 Royal Rumble match and apparently the pain is only getting worse.
PWInsider reports that The Undertaker’s post-WrestleMania status was a hot topic backstage at Raw this week. Taker took a spear from Roman Reigns and he was reportedly in a lot of pain when he was walking around.
There are still a number of big matches that Taker could have inside a WWE ring, but WWE officials are currently under the impression that WrestleMania 33 will likely be it for The Deadman.
