Samoa Joe has been vital to the NXT brand since his debut in 2015. But now the Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that WWE officials are talking about calling Joe up shortly after WrestleMania 32.
One of the ideas that has been discussed is Joe making his main roster debut on Raw the night after Mania. However it was also noted that plans are always subject to change. Joe defeating Finn Balor and winning the NXT Title is another idea that’s being discussed and that would obviously keep him in NXT a little longer.
Sami Zayn making the jump to the main roster to feud with Kevin Owens is also an idea that’s reportedly being considered. Zayn recently made a surprise appearance in the Royal Rumble and he ended up eliminating Owens from the match.
On a related note, it’s not likely for Finn Balor to get called up after WrestleMania as plans still call for him to be the face of the NXT brand moving forward.
