For weeks fans were anxiously awaiting the big 25th anniversary episode of WWE Monday Night Raw and one of the big selling points in regards to the show was the return of The Undertaker.
Fans have been waiting a long time to hear from The Undertaker, as everyone wants to know if he has truly wrestled his last match, or if he’ll be stepping into the ring again at WrestleMania 34.
Taker appeared at the Manhattan Center during Raw, and he cut a promo talking about the big names he’s defeated, but the promo was pretty vague, and when it was all said and done, fans had more questions than answers.
It was recently reported that current plans call for The Undertaker to face John Cena at WrestleMania 34 in New Orleans this year, and it was speculated that an angle would play out on Raw to set up the match.
However, Cena and Taker never crossed paths.
Dave Meltzer (via CageSideSeats) is reporting that the set up for John Cena vs. The Undertaker is still scheduled to happen “in the next few weeks” so it looks like the match is still on the table.
With the Royal Rumble taking place on Sunday, and the Road to WrestleMania kicking off in the weeks to come, hopefully we’ll be getting confirmation regarding Taker’s plans soon, one way or another.
