Seth Rollins was at the top of his game but now he’s unfortunately out for 6 to 9 months after injuring himself at the recent WWE live event in Dublin. Seth Rollins has had to vacate the title and as of right now WWE has announced that a new WWE Champion will be decided via a tournament.
But originally Rollins was supposed to defend his WWE Championship against Roman Reigns at Survivor Series and possibly beyond. According to PWInsider.com, WWE had plans for Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins to headline both Survivor Series and the TLC pay-per-view with Reigns winning the title sometime before the end of 2015. Their report mentions that the original plan was to have Roman Reigns hold the title going into WrestleMania 32.
Now WWE has been forced to rewrite their creative plans and it should be interesting to see which way they go. One way or another we know that a new WWE Champion will be crowned in the near future, so that’s something to be excited about. Stay tuned.
