Fans waited a long time to see Paige return to WWE, and when she finally made her return to Monday Night Raw back in November, it was clear from the reaction she got that the former Divas Champion had been missed.
It appeared that she was being set up for very big things in the women’s division on the red brand, as Paige returned as the leader of a new stable called Absolution with Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville.
Rose, Deville and Paige immediately established themselves as big players in the women’s division, but now everyone’s wondering what the future holds for the group.
It was recently reported that WWE officials have decided not to clear Paige following an injury she suffered at a WWE live event, and it appears that her in-ring career is over. But that doesn’t mean her WWE career is over.
According to CageSideSeats, it’s expected that WWE will try to find a new role for Paige now that she’s unable to work as a wrestler. At this point in time there’s no current talk of the former champion leaving the company.
It’s really unfortunate that Paige won’t be wrestling, but with Absolution by her side she can still have a very strong presence on Monday Night Raw. We’ll just have to wait and see how she’s used.
