Backstage News On Original Plans For Luke Harper And Erick Rowan

Luke Harper and Erick Rowan are two of the most destructive forces in WWE, but 2017 hasn’t been kind to them so far. Harper found himself in the WWE Title picture during WrestleMania season, but he quickly drifted back down the card after that. Rowan found himself sitting on the sidelines due to injury, but when he did finally return, WWE didn’t do much with him.

Harper and Rowan have been off TV for quite some time, but they have been working WWE live events. It looks like their luck is going to change soon, because WWE recently aired a vignette on SmackDown Live hyping up their return and it appears that they will be known as the Bludgeon Brothers moving forward.

The Bludgeon Brothers is a name that certainly seems to fit the team, but fans still don’t know much about their new gimmick.

PWInsider reports that original plans for Erick Rowan and Luke Harper’s return called for them to be built up as a team that was loosely based on Demolition.

It remains to be seen if that’s the direction that WWE will end up going with the team, but it looks like we’ll find out in the weeks to come.

If you missed the vignette from SmackDown Live you can check it out below.
