Prior to Hell in a Cell WWE had been promoting a triple main event with three matches inside the cell. Roman Reigns vs. Rusev opened the show, Kevin Owens vs. Seth Rollins went on in the middle, and Sasha Banks vs. Charlotte closed the show.

Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that original plans called for Seth Rollins and Kevin Owens to go on last. Obviously that didn’t happen and the women closed out the show. It was also noted that the original plan for the main event match had Sasha going over and retaining her title. He noted that there is a reason why the ending was changed, but he doesn’t know what the exact reason is. WWE has reportedly decided to go with Bayley vs. Charlotte moving forward.
Following her victory Sunday night at Hell in a Cell Charlotte is now a three time Women’s Champion. Tonight’s episode of Raw will feature the fallout from the pay-per-view, and you can see what’s in store for the episode via tonight’s official Raw preview.
