Originally the Money in the Bank premium live event was set to take place from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas in July. However, WWE announced recently that Money in the Bank will be moving to the smaller MGM Grand Arena.
AEW President Tony Khan reacted to the announcement when he posted a tweet noting that he was the one to break the news to Dana White about WWE moving Money in the Bank.
“Yesterday: one of my favorite days, including
-great visits with fans + media
-a trip to LA for the most fulfilling meeting of my life with @wbd leadership
-dinner with my Dad + Dana White, where I got to break the news to Dana about MITB moving to MGM
Today: #AEWRampage on TNT!”

Bryan Alvarez noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that people in WWE were “furious” about Tony Khan’s tweets. He didn’t mention any specific names in regards to who was reacting to the tweets. CM Punk also seemingly mocked WWE’s decision to move Money in the Bank when he made a social media post referencing WrestleMania VII which WWE moved to a smaller venue.
Money in the Bank will take place from the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas on Saturday, July 2nd. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
