The coronavirus has caused some major problems for the entertainment industry now that the virus has been declare a pandemic.
Multiple cases of the coronavirus have been confirmed in Tampa, FL and it’s been rumored that WWE may have to postpone WrestleMania 36.
Alex McCarthy of talkSPORT recently shared an update on WWE’s plans for Mania, and he noted that the company is looking at possibly holding the event in June or July if the Show of Shos gets postponed.
“June/July is one of WWE’s contingency plans I believe. With the European travel ban, number of events shutting down and even the NBA season outright suspended… I can’t see how WWE can run ‘Mania now.
Things have changed drastically in the past 48 hours with the coronavirus.”
Officials from the city of Tampa are set to hold a meeting today to address the status of upcoming events in the city.
