The stars of WWE will be traveling to Saudi Arabia this weekend for the Crown Jewel premium live event, and ahead of the show the Wall Street Journal is reporting that Saudi Arabia has shared knowledge of an imminent threat from Iran with the United States.
A National Security Council spokesperson reportedly spoke on the threat and said, “We are concerned about the threat picture, and we remain in constant contact through military and intelligence channels with the Saudis. We will not hesitate to act in the defense of our interests and partners in the region.”
PWInsider is reporting that they spoke to several people in WWE who have said that Crown Jewel will be moving forward. The company is hopeful that everything will be fine, but it’s being said that WWE has security protocols and emergency contingencies in place if any issues come up.
Crown Jewel will air live on Saturday, November 5. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
