Backstage News On WWE Releasing 10 Wrestlers

Last week was rough for a number of WWE talents as the company decided to release 10 Superstars citing budget cuts. Samoa Joe, Mickie James, Mojo Rawley, Chelsea Green, Tucker, Wesley Blake, Peyton Royce, Billie Kay, Kalisto and Bo Dallas were all released last week and now the wrestling world is waiting to see what they will do next.

There’s been a lot of speculation regarding the releases, but Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that at least two of the released Superstars were complaining backstage.

One talent was said to be “pouting” because they were not used at WrestleMania 37. Another talent was reportedly complaining about their booking, or lack thereof.

The names of the two talents were not revealed, but it was noted that the complaining did not help their situation.

All of the released wrestlers will have to wait out their 90 day non-compete clause, and it’s believed that they will be free agents on July 14th.
