CM Punk made his return to WWE at the Survivor Series premium live event over the weekend and Triple H said during the post-show press conference that the return came together quickly. It was later reported that Punk agreed to a multi-year deal with WWE and it seems that there may be a special clause in his new contract.
Following his return at Survivor Series, CM Punk also appeared on Raw and he was said to have been on his best behavior backstage. Fightful Select reports that some people in WWE were told by higher ups that CM Punk has a behavior clause in his contract. However, that has yet to be confirmed.
Fightful also backed up Haus of Wrestling’s report noting that CM Punk didn’t take a shot at The Young Bucks on Monday as he’s trying to move past the situation with AEW according to WWE.
WWE had to cut some time from CM Punk’s promo in the main event segment because Randy Orton vs. Dominik Mysterio went long, but one source noted that Punk appeared to be fine with that. Currently Punk is listed as a free agent and his next WWE appearance has not been confirmed.
Stay tuned for more updates on CM Punk’s status as they become available.
