Fans have often debated whether or not WWE’s brand extension has worked, but as of right now the brands are still separate officially. However, Raw stars have been appearing on SmackDown, and SmackDown stars have also been appearing on Raw.
Fightful Select reports that more crossover between the brands is expected. It’s also being reported that more NXT stars will be appearing on Main Event as their work is looked at by company officials.
It was also noted that the crossover has been beneficial for NXT as the brand has seen increased consistent viewership. Another benefit is that main roster talent can be brought in to evaluate NXT talent and help establish where they are in regards to being prepared for Raw or SmackDown.
More crossover allows for plenty of surprises as this week Sonya Deville made an appearance on NXT and she helped Toxic Attraction beat down Alba Fyre when the trio put Fyre through the announce table with a triple powerbomb. It’s been rumored for some time that Toxic Attraction are being considered for a main roster call-up, so it will be interesting to see where things go from here.
Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
