Backstage News On WWE Paying Attention To Colt Cabana’s AEW Return

Colt Cabana shocked the wrestling world on Wednesday night when he answered Chris Jericho’s open challenge and he made his return to AEW programming. Cabana’s return got a lot of people talking as CM Punk took several shots at Cabana during the post-show media scrum at the AEW All Out pay-per-view back in September.

It’s been reported that AEW is in talks to buy out CM Punk’s contract which has left many to wonder if Punk could return to WWE at some point. According to WrestleVotes, Colt Cabana’s return to AEW Dynamite did not go unnoticed by people in WWE.

Whether or not CM Punk could return to WWE at this point remains unclear, but it’s rumored that the door isn’t completely closed now that Triple H’s regime is in charge. Either way CM Punk is currently out of action due to an injury he suffered during his match with Jon Moxley at All Out, so it will be some time before plans for his wrestling future become clear if he does indeed decide to return.
