Soon fans all around the world will be tuning into the WWE Network to watch WrestleMania 35, and this week a few more matches were added to the card.
On SmackDown Live it was announced that Rey Mysterio will challenge Samoa Joe for the United States Championship on the Grandest Stage of Them All, and his son Dominic will be watching from ringside.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE originally had plans to book Rey Mysterio and Andrade in a Mask vs. Hair match.
It’s being said that the idea for the match just “fell by the wayside.”
In regards to the Rey Mysterio vs. Andrade singles match that was booked for the Fastlane kickoff show, Vince McMahon made a last minute decision to put them on the main show, and they ended up getting booked in a fatal four way match for the US Title.
It was also noted that WWE officials tried to sell Andrade and Rey on the idea that the pre-show is important.
