WWE is switching things up again as Kevin Patrick is set to be removed from the Smackdown commentary team.
PWInsider is reporting that the decision to remove Kevin Patrick from the Smackdown commentary team was made on Monday night. It was noted that Kevin Patrick is well liked, but there’s a feeling that he was not right for the role.
Initially WWE put Michael Cole on the team with Kevin Patrick and the hope was that Cole could steer him in the right direction. Patrick was originally set to fly to Smackdown on Friday which indicates this was a last minute decision.
As of this writing Kevin Patrick’s replacement has not been named and it’s not clear if he will be taking on a different role with the company.
