Monday Night Raw has hit a bit of a rough patch in terms of viewership recently, and the show hasn’t exactly been receiving glowing reviews from the fans.
This week the McMahons decided to shake things up in a big way when they announced that they’ll be running Raw and SmackDown Live going forward.
The announcement from the McMahons has caused the landscape to change significantly in WWE, as Raw no longer has a General Manager, and Paige was relieved of her duties as SmackDown Live GM.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that there was talk of having Alexa Bliss take over Baron Corbin’s spot as Raw GM after Corbin lost to Braun Strowman at TLC, but that idea has been completely dropped.
Alexa Bliss as the main authority figure on Raw isn’t the only plan WWE dropped due to the shake up, as it was also recently reported that the company had plans for aShane McMahon heel turn, but the heel turn has been nixed.
Do you think WWE is truly ushering a new era with the McMahons are the forefront of Raw and SmackDown, or will it just be more of the same? Sound off in the comments below.
