Fans saw quite a few title matches at WrestleMania 37 a few weeks ago, and Matt Riddle defended his United States Championship against Sheamus at the Show of Shows this year. When it was all said and done it was Sheamus who picked up the victory and walked out with the United States Title.
Original plans called for Matt Riddle to continue his feud with Sheamus, but those plans were apparently nixed, as Riddle recently started a feud with Randy Orton.
Fightful Select reports that originally Randy Orton was set to feud with Braun Strowman, but those plans were changed. It was noted that Randy Orton was in favor of working with Riddle, and that led to changes being made.
Orton vs. Strowman was planned for Raw last week, but the match was nixed and WWE ended up booking Drew McIntyre & Braun Strowman vs. T-BAR and Mace. Prior to the changes being made there were no plans for the Strowman & McIntyre vs. T-BAR & Mace feud, but they will face off once again on Raw this week.
